Edward J. Nolter graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford with a degree in public relations and sociology, where he earned the Communication’s Department Student of the Year Award in 2004. He then earned his Juris Doctorate from Western Michigan University – Thomas M. Cooley Law School, graduating cum laude. Mr. Nolter received the certificate of Merit Award and an Honors Scholarship while at Western Michigan.

Edward J. Nolter handles a wide variety of cases at The Nolter Law Firm, including: Criminal Defense, Juvenile Defense, and Family Law. He is also certified as an attorney ad litem by the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Nolter is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Young Lawyers Association, and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.

Edward J. Nolter was named a “Rising Star” by  Super Lawyers magazine. No more than 2.5 percent of attorneys throughout the State of Texas receive this award.

  • Edward J. Nolter was appointed Denton County Veteran’s Court Defense Counsel in January 2019. He provides legal guidance for Denton County Veterans that have been placed into the treatment program after violating the law.

  • Edward J. Nolter is a member of the National Association of Drug Court Professionals.
